GOAL

This program provides pharmacists with information on the pharmacology and therapeutics of prescription drugs approved and/or recently introduced into therapy. Focus is on FDA-approved indications and relevant data on the drugs, including trends that will impact future drug discovery and approval.

At the conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

2. Recognize important therapeutic applications in specified pathologies;
3. Demonstrate an understanding of adverse effects and toxicity, and significant drug-drug and drug-food interactions; and,
4. Select from a list, information to convey to patients or their caregivers when counseling on the drugs and/or conditions for which they are indicated.
